The Department of acquisition and accounting of funds, scientific processing of literature and organization of catalogs, international book exchange was created to ensure optimal, scientifically sound and efficient formation of funds of the Central scientific library of RSE "Gylym ordasy" and libraries of the network at the SRI MES RK, establishment and expansion of book exchange links, providing centralized cataloging of documents, the Foundation of the Central scientific library of RSE "Gylym ordasy", and in the library network at the SRI of MES RK in order bibliographic disclosure of the holdings of the Central scientific library and the improvement of reference and bibliographic apparatus by means of traditional and electronic catalogs. The scientific Fund of the library is formed in accordance with the priority directions of development of science in the Republic of Kazakhstan and users information requests, by:

1. Purchases (from booksellers);

2. International book exchange (IBE is carried out on the principle of equivalent exchange of scientific publications);

3. Subscriptions to scientific publications of Kazakhstan, Russia, foreign scientific journals through EBSCO;

4. State order (under the program " Publication of socially important types of literature");

5. NAS RK journals (News, Bulletins , Reports);

6. A gift from organizations, authors and users of the Central scientific library;

7. Publications of the Central scientific library: bibliographic indexes;

8. Documents converted to digital format;

Main activities of the scientific processing sector:

1. Scientific cataloging and systematization of documents (Cataloging - is the process of creation and operation of library catalogs. The composition of cataloging includes: bibliographic processing, ending with the formation of a bibliographic record; input of bibliographic data and printing of catalog cards; scientific editing of catalogs);

2. The development of an electronic catalogue (Electronic catalogue (EC)) is a library catalogue in machine - readable form made available to users. The Central scientific library has more than 20 databases);

3. Retrospective conversion;

4. Scientific and methodical work on the cataloguing and systematization of documents;

5. The index of the works of the scholars on UDC
