Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev (1879-1938) - the first railway engineer among Kazakhs, he is the deputy of the 2nd State Duma, the builder of Turksib, the author of a number of historical works. In 1917, he is elected to the government of Alash-Orda at the All-Kazakhstan Congress M. Tynyshpaev participated in the IV Congress of Muslims of the Turkestan Territory in the city of Kokand. The congress announced the creation of the Kokand autonomy in Turkestan. Tynyshpayev became its first prime minister. In 1918 he participated in the State Conference in Ufa as a representative of Alash-Orda . In 1919 Alash-Orda parts goes over to the side of Soviet power.

After the civil war, the knowledge and experience of the engineer Tynyshpayev was used in the economic and organizational work, at the same time he taught, and he was engaged professionally in history and local history.

As part of the scientific work of the RSE "Yellow Horde" was organized a book exhibition on the 140-year development of the Alash movement, dedicated for a railway engineer, historian M. Tynyshpaev. The main stages of the his life and his works, literature and memories of him, information on international and republican awards, articles published on the pages of periodicals, as well as literature published under his editorship was presented on the exhibition.
