Brief description

Selevinia journal (since 2003 - yearbook) is the first scientific zoological journal publishing articles about the fauna of a vast region: Kazakhstan, Central Asia, adjacent territories of Russia (Volga region, Siberia, Altai, Transbaikalia), Iran, Pakistan, China. It includes articles on animals of all classes - mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, spiders, worms, molluscs, protozoa. Biographies and information about scientists-zoologists who have devoted their lives to the study of animals in the region are published in the sections "Jubilees" and "Loss of Science"; "Chronicle" and "New Books" sections provide readers with information about the scientific and environmental forums, most interesting zoological books, albums, teaching aids and other publications. The "History of Zoology", "Zoological Collections" and "Practical Aspects" sections are not less informative.
