The writer's story covers the period of 75 years. The main protagonist of the novel is Shayi Tileulikyzy, who went through the national liberation war in 1916 and Zheltokstan movement in 1986. Her fate reflects the destiny and history of all Kazakh people. On the16th of  December of 1991, when she heard how the first president of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev announced the Independence of Kazakhstan, she had passed away in exciting emotional state with the words "God really does exist".

The novel became part of the series of collection devoted to 25 years of Kazakhstan's Independence and 100 years of  Kazakhstan's national liberation war.
